Starting a company dedicated to guiding organizations through transformation means embracing change every single day. That’s the choice Julie Cantin, co-founder and President of Evoluo, made—and this year, her company celebrates eight years in business.
At Evoluo, the mission is clear: add management capacity to secure the execution of transformations without slowing down operations.
Whether it’s a digital transformation, an acquisition, a merger, a strategic plan, or succession planning, the Evoluo team clarifies priorities, establishes management rhythms, oversees projects, and reduces risks until results are achieved.
“The success of any project depends on how quickly people buy into it.”
This conviction guides Julie and her team in supporting their clients, primarily manufacturing and industrial SMEs, but also nonprofits.
English as a gateway
Even though most of her mandates are carried out in French, Julie quickly faced an unavoidable reality: big decisions are often made in English.
Many of Evoluo’s clients, though based in Quebec, have headquarters or subsidiaries in Ontario, the U.S., or Western Canada. The moment a single English speaker joins the table, meetings switch to English.
For Julie, who mainly develops business in French, this language barrier became a limitation. She wanted to confidently replace a team member in meetings, contribute with ease, and fully step into her role as a leader—no matter the language.
A complete journey with Ellipse
That’s why she chose Ellipse—and went all in.
“I chose the full package! Private English classes, daily Sprints, and the Mastermind program.”
She explains:
“I really like the Mastermind format. You learn from those who are more advanced, but also from those who are still catching up. It pushes me to question myself, to challenge myself. And I really appreciated the diversity of expertise shared.”
The Sprint sessions helped her keep her reflexes sharp and spontaneous:
“You never know when the ball will come back to you. You need to be ready to speak, to read, to react. And 25 minutes of training fits so easily into a busy day.”
As for the private English classes, they allowed her to go deeper, focusing on exchanges directly tied to her immediate needs.
What she gained
Today, Julie approaches her English meetings with far more fluidity and confidence. She has expanded her vocabulary, but more importantly, she has developed the ease to hold her place at the decision-making table.
And for an entrepreneur whose mission is to help others navigate change, showing her own capacity to evolve sends a powerful message.
